Cave City School has partnered with the Sharp County Health Department to provide the flu vaccine to our students and school employees on Friday October 7th. Flu forms have been sent home with students. Please make sure the front and back of flu form is complete to ensure that your child is able to get the flu vaccine at school. Thank you
The Cave City FFA Chapter is asking you to join them in supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital for a year-long project. We are asking you, your family, and your friends to collect pop tabs from cans and for you or your child to bring them to school. These tabs will be collected at each of the schools. Our FFA will take them to St. Jude’s. St. Jude’s uses these tabs to collect money to fund the Ronald McDonald house, which houses a patient’s family while the patient is receiving treatment. St. Jude is one of the only pediatric cancer research centers that doesn’t require families to pay for services not covered by insurance. Please join our FFA in helping St. Jude Children’s Hospital!
Hello Friends! Tonight we will be having our Middle and High School Parent-Teacher Conference from 3:30 - 6:00. If you haven’t already, please consider picking up a free/reduced lunch form. As you know, they eliminated the federal waiver which allowed us to feed everyone for free. So we need forms completed once again by September 30. Thursday, September 15 from 3-6pm will be Parent/Teacher Conferences for Middle School & High School. Family engagement is a two-way relationship, where families and educators work together to support each other in order to set students up for successful learning. Come out tomorrow and help us unlock your child's potential.
What a great start for our backpack food program! Thank You to Farm Bureau for the monetary donation and Ms. Wood's Preschool class for doing a drive for National Food Bank Day last Friday. Our middle school students also brought in a great amount for our campus food drive! Thank you to all help make this program successful. We currently serve 42 students in our district every Friday.

Mrs. Turnbough and Coach Bacon are currently making plans for a CCMS History Club trip to Washington, D.C. during Spring Break 2024!
This will be a great opportunity to enhance your child’s education by traveling to our nation’s capitol. We plan to visit various sites in and around D.C including: Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Ford’s Theatre, and others. Those interested in travel must join the CCMS History Club by September 16, and a parent or other guardian must accompany their student to D.C.

The CCMS History Club is also excited to be hosting a back to school dance! We realize this will be the first dance for many of our students and want everyone to have a fun evening. In order to ensure this, all school rules will apply. Check the handbook if you have any questions regarding behavior and/or attire. Chaperones will be on duty.
This dance is for Cave City Middle School students only-no younger or older siblings, relatives, or friends may attend. The dance will be held in the middle school cafeteria on September 16 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door-there will be concessions available for drink and snack purchases. Students will check-in on the elementary side of the cafeteria and parents or another designated adult will need to be here by 9:00 p.m. to sign out their child. Please send a note if another adult is checking out your child.
Students must stay in the designated area and are not allowed to leave without being checked out by a parent or guardian. Re-admittance will not be allowed unless prior arrangements are made with one of the chaperones.
Students are expected to behave in ways consistent with all CCMS policies. Appropriate dancing is understood and any students demonstrating inappropriate dancing will be removed. No running, jumping, or PDA is allowed.

This Friday, Aug 26th the District Parent & Family Engagement Committee will have a booth for everyone to bring in their book(s) to trade in for a different book(s) - in a book swap. The book swap will be from 5-7pm for all ages. This is also the first home football game, stay around and cheer on the CAVEMEN.
Welcome back! Open House is tomorrow, Aug 9th from 2-6pm. There will also be a very informative internet/phone safety program from the Attorney Generals Office at 5:15 or 6:15pm in the Middle School Cafeteria for all parents & families. Due to the rain, today’s Watermelon Festival Parade has been canceled. Once again, we appreciate the Festival Committee for recognizing our Cave City School Family with the honor of being grand Marshall’s for the parade.
Help us "Stuff the bus" to feed hungry children! Donating to this event helps us support our local schools' backpack programs. The event is August 6th from 9am to 2pm.
Cave City Schools June payroll checks and covid compensation checks will be available to be picked up in the district office from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, June 10th. Those not picked up Friday will be available on Monday, June 13th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Have a safe summer!
